{ GREAT } FUN!

*FYI* This post has lots of pictures!
For Taylor's Birthday this year, we headed down to Dallas to the Great Wolf Lodge. It's an indoor waterpark, with so many fun things to do!

We got one of the theme rooms, ours was the "wolf den." The kids had bunk beds and their own TV and video games...but there wasn't time for that anyway.

They had such a fun game to play called "Magiquest" It is basically a scavenger hunt around the lodge to find all the clues. If you find them all you will be a Master. Dale and Taylor spent about 3 hours trying to complete the quest. Maddie and I tagged along too...for some of it anyway.
Photobucket
Just found another clue.
Photobucket
They also had a "cub club" where your little ones can go and do arts and crafts and read books, among other things...that was Maddie's favorite part.

Thank heaven he's 7!!!

I can't believe my baby boy is already 7! Where does the time go?
Photobucket
It is amazing to me how fast time flies by...it just seems like yesterday we were living in North Carolina, and you were so little & curious about everything...I guess that hasn't changed! I got a little sad when I was looking through old pictures (which I finally found up in the attic...yay!) and I saw how much you have changed over the years!
Photobucket
You were such a chunky monkey and so happy all the time. You were such a trooper with all the adventures your Dad and I would take you on. In your first year you traveled to Las Vegas, Utah, Washington D.C., Williamsberg, VA, the Smokey Mountains, Myrtle Beach, S.C. (twice), Charleston, S.C., Chicago, and many, many times to the beach. Each time you did so well!
Photobucket
I have enjoyed watching you grow up, and can't wait to see what is in store for you this year! I'm sure you will still love anything Star Wars, video games, Judo, riding your bike & scooter, and learning to roller blade...better!
Photobucket
Here's to another birthday buddy!!! And I hope you are having a blast at Great Wolf Lodge!

Cousins+Friends+Houston=Spring Break!

*Warning* Lots of pictures!
We had a great time down in Houston. My brother and his family invited us to come down for Spring Break, since Dale took off to Korea, I thought it sounded like a great idea!

Taylor and Maddie had a great time riding bikes, playing video games, basketball, walking the dog and playing in the woods. Not to mention, I had a great time too...my brother watched all 8 kids so my sister in law, Jennifer and I could go shopping...we pretty much shopped till we dropped...Thanks Jared you are a great Dad and uncle!
PhotobucketPhotobucket
We also met up with one of our friends we met while stationed at Beale AFB in California. They just recently moved to Houston. We met them at George Bush park for a picnic and let the kids play and feed the ducks.
Photobucket
8 of the 10 kids we had between the 3 of us.
Photobucket
...here we have all 10!
Photobucket
Of course Taylor wouldn't come be in the this picture with our friends kids...little stinker!

Maddie & Brooklyn waiting for the ducks.

On Friday we headed down to Galveston Island to spend the day at the beach. It was the first time Maddie has been to the beach, that she can remember anyway. She wasn't too into the water, which was fine with me...one less kid to worry about drowning or something. She did however, Love the sand!
Photobucket
She was so exhausted from lack of sleep and over stimulation...she threw a doozie of a temper tantrum, that resulted in me snuggling her...she fell asleep within seconds of this picture...and slept for an hour and half in the chair...poor girl!
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Taylor loved jumping the waves with his cousin Gibb...I kept worrying about him because they would get out so far, I couldn't take my eyes off him. He is such a boy and is fearless at times! He had fun playing in the sand too!
Photobucket
Photobucket
Can you believe he agreed to a picture with his Mom? Thanks buddy!
Photobucket
We had a fun filled week, making lots of memories with family and friends!

Taylor's birthday is Saturday...so we have something Big planned starting on Friday...lucky boy gets to miss school too! I'll share more when we get back!

It's Spring Break!

and Taylor is excited about it!!!
Photobucket
Our good friends came up from Texas this weekend. We went up to Pops, one of our kids favorite places. The kids had fun running around in the back while we waited...and waited for a table.
Photobucket
They follow directions well too...

Photobucket
Maddie had fun picking weeds.
Photobucket
Taylor found a stick...Watch Out!
Photobucket
My favorite shot of my kiddos...I love everything about it...from Maddie loving her big brother to the hole in Taylor's jeans! (which is pretty much all of them...how does that happen so fast? I'm going to go broke buying new jeans for the kid!)

Happy Spring Break!

We're headed down to Houston for a visit with my brother and his family. Maddie will be in heaven...my brother has triplet girls that are Maddie's age. Taylor will also be in heaven...he has an older cousin Gib who loves Star Wars as much as he does!

Major Exciting...

I got a phone call from Dale's office on Monday morning. The General asked me to bring the kids down at 4pm for a surprise. The kids and I showed up a little before 4 and were led into the Generals conference room to wait (that was nerve racking...let me tell ya...tons of stuff for little curious fingers to touch!) They had Dale called up to talk to another Major while everyone gathered around the conference table. The General poured sparkling cider for everyone...then they called up for Dale...he came walking in VERY surprised to see us and everyone else!
The Major select results came in and Dale made Major!

It is a big accomplishment, and Dale has worked very hard to earn this. He is very dedicated to the Air Force and takes his job very serious...almost too much I think...but that's why I'm not in the Air Force!

We are very proud of him and all the sacrifices he makes for our family and our country!

...and if you can believe it...I forgot my camera so I don't have a picture from that day...but I do have this one...
Photobucket
The soon to be Major Williquette.
Congrats DAD & we love you!

Our State Champ.

We headed up to Tulsa on Saturday for Taylor's State Championship Judo Tournament.

He was really excited to compete in this tournament.

If he places 1st he is eligible to go to the National Championships and the JR. Olympics in Florida!
Photobucket
It is funny to see all the kids waiting for their turn all playing their DS's, and Taylor was no exception. (I'm lucky he was so into his game, he didn't even notice I took this picture!)
Photobucket
Miss Maddie "hanging" out...she is such a good sport at these events! She brings her box of "colors" and paper and her Barbie "puter" to keep her busy for the 5-6 hours.

Photobucket
...and the Winner is...
Photobucket
TAYLOR!!!

Taylor and his Sensai. It is so fun to watch all the kids encourage eachother as they compete. We are proud of Taylor's hard work and dedication to Judo!
