Easter Egg Hunt.

We took the kids to the annual Easter Egg hunt this last weekend. I didn't realize it was going to be as cold as it was. So we weren't prepared with warm coats. the kids were complaining and I felt bad I was making my kids freeze all for a bunch of candy I don't want them to have anyway!

Taylor was obviously posing with his bucket, and being very goofy, leave it to a 6 year old kid!

Maddie was wondering what in the world were we waiting for...

Oh yeah...candy!!! Is this okay Mom, do I really get to take this and put it in my bucket?

After she spent about 3 minutes picking up a few pieces of candy, she was done, we went back to the car to get warm while Taylor had his turn.

Maddie's 1st Dance Recital.

Maddie getting ready for her performance.

She did a great job, I was actually quite surprised, I thought when she saw us she would want to come and sit with us. When she saw her Daddy she did get a little excited and was waving to him and saying "Hi Daddy!"

She loved the stickers for her cheeks, she didn't take them off for the rest of the night.

Get Your "KIDS" on Route 66.

This weekend we took the kids up to this fun little gas station up in Arcadia, OK on Route 66, called "Pops." They have every kind of soda pop imaginable. Taylor and Maddie had a lot of fun picking out their favorite flavor to drink with their dinner. There is also a little diner, we got to eat up at the counter...the kids thought that was really fun. Their cheeseburgers and onion rings were delish, I might add. If you live here in Oklahoma you should really check this place out if you haven't already!

Just Mommy and Me.

Maddie loves Elmo, so when I saw a commercial on TV for Sesame Street Live, I decided to get tickets and take her.

I kept telling her on the way there we going to see Elmo, I don't think she really understood we were really going to SEE Elmo.

When Big Bird and Elmo came out on the stage her face lit up like Christmas morning, she looked at me and said "Mommy Elmo, Big Bird" she was so excited!

At intermission we walked around and looked at all the yummy food ( Funnel cakes, cotton candy, pretzels, and snow cones to name a few) But luckily she could care less about the food, it would have been for me, but I instead forked out $8 on a balloon, which she loved much more than the food.

I loved watching her face throughout the show, she thoroughly enjoyed every minute!

I know these moments when our children are young won't last forever. I'm sure we will look back and laugh at the fact that she loved Elmo so much, but I enjoyed taking her and seeing her excitement and joy!

On the drive home, she was so cute telling me the names of all the characters, most of which I didn't even know she knew, I guess they are much smarter then we think.

A Day at the Park.

We have been having some beautiful weather here. We spent 3 days at the park this week, the kids loved it so much. Then of course today it is raining and kindof snowing...go figure it's Oklahoma.

They loved it so much I hardly could keep Taylor still to get a picture, so these are all of Maddie.

Dale had another awards ceremony this week...Doesn't he look good?!!! Gotta love a man in uniform!
