enlisting a couple of LITTLE recruits.

Dale had to pull out his "Chem Warfare Gear" for some annual training, and the kids were very eager to try it on for size. They had fun checking out the equipment and had lots of questions.
This helmet weighs just about as much as Maddie does.
We are headed off to Arizona this week for our 1st annual Cobia Family reunion. We are really looking forward to the vacation, not so much the 13 hour drive, but it will be so fun to be with my family...everybody is supposed to be there, all of my siblings and their spouses and all the cousins, 34 people in all! It will be the first time in 6 years we have all been together. It should be a great time out on the ranch!

splish, SPLASH!

This week we had good friends come up to visit us from Shepard AFB in Witchita Falls, TX. We were neighbors when we lived at Beale AFB in Cali...we have such fond memories from our "Dumosa" days, we made such good friendships while living there. So it was so much fun to see some of these good friends! We sure miss all the others too, but I think they are enjoying their lives in places like Italy...we miss you all! Lily is 5, Sophie is 4, Maddie almost 3, Taylor 6, John 7, and a very upset Cole 2...I think he would much rather be jumping on the trampoline then posing for a darn picture!

We headed down to the splash pad to cool off a bit, the kids had a blast as you can see...and nobody got hurt, thank goodness for that.

suMmEr FuN!

Trying to keep 2 kids happy and busy this summer is definately a task...I don't know how you mother's of more than 2 kids do it! We have been going to the library and swimming with friends. This was our favorite book of the week, "Class Two at the Zoo" it is a really cute book, I think I read it about 10 times! Here is MAddie at our friends pool, all decked out in her swimming gear! We are so happy our neighborhood pool finally opens this weekend, so know we don't have to rely on friends to go swimming, we can go whenever we want!
Taylor cracks me up, he still won't take his floaties off to jump of the diving board, even though he can do it without them.

And this is what I found the other night...Maddie in her "pretty panties" jumping on the trampoline!

This is my first attempt at digital scrapbooking, I really want to figure it out on photoshop, but this was fun playing around with. I loved these pictures of the kiddos playing in the bubble bath.

The kids and I have been wanting to get a trampoline for a long time, we finally talked Dad into it. The kids love it and have been bouncing since they woke up this morning (as you can see in some of the photos, they are still in their jammies) and they now have the sprinkler underneath it and are having a blast! Hopefully it help keep them busy this summer when we don't have anything planned...I know that's what I'm hoping for!

Fun in the Sun.

Hi Mom! Maddie had fun in the pool lounging in the red lobster, these are obviously made for babies, but she insisted, so I gave in.
Taylor and Maddie love the water, I have a feeling we will be in the pool a lot this summer!
My big fish...he was jumping off the diving board and going down the slide, couldn't hardly get him out of the pool!
