It's SNOW fun!

With 3 days of "snow days"...what's a boy to do, but PLAY in the snow!!!

As fun as it was...I'm glad he went back to school today.

We are thawing out quickly around here...it was 60 degrees today...and tomorrow almost 70...what the heck? Oklahoma has crazy weather!

wordLess wednesday~SNOWED IN!

It's our second day out of school because of the weather~so I guess we will be reading more books and watching more movies~and playing somemore in the snow!

Hopefully tomorrow I can get my car back in the garage and be able to drive again...why is my car parked out on the street you ask? Well...Dale went to go pick Taylor up from the park down the street where he was sledding with all the neighborhood kids, and as he was driving out of our driveway he got it stuck...and even with the help of some nice BIG passerby's...they still couldn't get it back in the driveway, because of the layer of ice under the snow...bummer!!! (I'm kinda of missing my pilot with 4 wheel drive!)

I Heart Faces...JOY!

It is week 3 for the I heart faces photo contest going on over at I HEART FACES! This week has a theme...and what a perfect theme...JOY! This picture of Maddie screams JOY to me...she had got into my craft closet and thought my ink pads were make-up. It was the 1st time she ever got into my closet...so really how could I get mad at this face? This child of mine is the definition of JOY!

Bound & Determined...

(Hiding from me...because I want a picture of him!)

I'm not sure why Taylor does not like me taking pictures of him...it drives me crazy! As you know I love taking pictures...especially of my kids, so to have him run away it makes me more determined to get the shot!

I was waiting for him to come up to the patio door...then he saw what I had in my hands...I love that frustrated look on his face of "Why Mom Why???"

(Please Mom...let me in!)

Then I told him the only way in the house was if I could get a picture of him. I know I'm so mean...but really he loves the attention, and we are having fun!

HA...Gotcha!

Love those baby blues. I really can't believe how fast this kid is growing up...he is almost 7! He is doing well in school and is excelling in Judo. He is going to his 1st tournament this weekend and has been working real hard for the last few weeks.

Ok...now I don't feel so guilty about blogging so much about Maddie and not Taylor. I sure am lucky to have such great kids!

Nothing Much.

I'm still in a bit of a funk when it comes to blogging lately. I'm not sure if it just seems like nothing out of the ordinary is happening around here, or I just don't have the motivation to blog.

About all that's happened around our house this week is a couple of trips to the doctor for Maddie...which lasted 2 hours each time...and resulted in not knowing what was wrong with her.

So Daddy spoiled her...as usual...and let her eat ICE CREAM on my sofa.

Good thing it stayed in her bowl and mouth!

She is better now...we think.

She isn't running a fever anymore and has started eating again!

I forgot to thank Shelby and Ella for giving Maddie this purple lipstick...you know...the kind that doesn't come off!

...and gets all over their clothes...oh well...it's all about being a princess...and I guess it does eventually come off!

We went to the park to play for awhile before the cold front comes in...and we went on a walk...

Maddie was being so cute and silly I had to document it today. She sure makes being a Mom worthwhile! Not to mention she is adorable..(of course I am a bit bias!)

Happy New Year 2009! Taylor thinks he is so sneaky when he does this to his sister...

We had a fun New Year's Eve...It started with dinner at one of our favorite places...PEI WEI...love those lettuce wraps! Then some Cold Stone ice cream for the kids...

Then our friends invited us over for some more yummy food and to play Guitar Hero...the boys had a great time...

...and so did Miss Maddie! We weren't planning on staying all night, but we were just having too much fun...so for the first time ever...my kids stayed up past midnight! And Maddie is still trying to catch up with her sleep!
