Taylor had his first Judo Tournament a few weekends ago. He was really looking forward to it. He worked really hard preparing for it, especially for a 6 year old. He had 2 hours of Judo 2 nights a week...I think that is a lot for a little kid.
I loved the intent faces watching the bigger kids compete first. Most of these kids were competeing for the first time, so it was fun watching them watch the others.Dale and Maddie had to keep busy too...thank goodness for the DS.
Finally after 2 hours it was Taylor's turn to compete. I know the pictures are kind of blurry, but you get the point...
Taylor competed with 2 boys...he lost the first match, but the 2nd one he won! This picture is Taylor flipping the kid...it was awesome! Also, because Taylor was in a higher bracket because of his weight, both of the boys were higher ranked then him and they were older then him, so we were pretty proud of him!
Just had to throw this one in too...now you know why Taylor is camera shy...Dale is going to love me for this one!Taylor with the winners from his division.
Checking out his Silver Medal.
All the junior competers from Taylor's gym...USA Stars.
What a proud boy! You did Awesome Taylor...and thank you for cooperating and giving me that sweet smile!
