First Tooth Lost...Officially!

Taylor lost his "first tooth" officially today! When he was 4 he had to get his top front tooth pulled because he hit it on the sink. It died and then got an abscess. Then a few months ago while playing "light sabers" at a friends house he got the bottom left knocked out of place, which landed us at the dentist to get it pulled. So we were excited to see his tooth wiggling around the last week. He wouldn't let us touch it of course...so while we were at our friends house today, she got a look at it and said it was ready to come out. We laid him on the couch and my friend got a good hold of it and yanked it out! I was a wimp and couldn't do it, I was a afraid of hurting my child...thank goodness for friends or it might still be tangling!

Every once in awhile we let the kids take a bubble bath with the jets on in our tub, we were just having some fun with Maddies hair, just imagine how much taller it would be if I hadn't of just cut her hair!

Since it's Valentine's Day.

Since it's Valentine's Day and I have been thinking about the days before marriage and children... I found some old pictures of Dale and I before we got engaged and then some of the actual engagment.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Dale, he has a thing about it, he always has to sleep on the right side, but that's ok because it always works out that I'm closest to the bathroom!
Who mows the lawn? Dale, and he is really good about it. I tried once, but I don't like it so much!
Who cooks dinner? I do most of the time, but Dale really enjoys cooking and trying new things.
Who drives? We both do, but Dale likes me to because he doesn't always know where he is going, and he doesn't like me telling him where to go!
Who is more stubborn? I would probably have to say me.

It was Dale, on New Year's day, after spending the whole day together and watching a movie that night...he then left to go home and I ran to call my friend to tell her all about the date, when I heard a little knock on the door, it was Dale, he said he "forgot something" I said "oh what?" he said, "I forgot to give you a kiss goodnight!"

Who proposed? Dale. He had it all planned out with his friends, they each had a T-shirt that said Cara-Will-You-Marry-ME? We were bowling on disco night, I turned around after my last turn and they were all standing there with their T-shirts on, I think they must of had them on under their other clothes.
Who has more siblings? I do, I am the oldest of 7 and Dale is the baby of 6.
Who wears the pants? I think we both think we wear the pants, but I really do! :-)

My Favorite Things...this week.

A few weeks ago when I picked Taylor up from school, he reeked of cologne. I asked him what that smell was, he told me it was cologne. I then asked him where he got it, he told me one of his friends had it in his backpack and was sharing it with his friends. Taylor then asked me if Dad had some and could he have it. I said "Yes, he had some and NO he could not have it!" Of course those that know Taylor, as soon as we got home he went straight to our bathroom to get Dad's cologne. Of course he couldn't just put a little on...I ended up taking it away and told him if he was a good boy then we would go and buy his own, so now Taylor will smell good for the ladies!

Ok...so I have an addiction...Happy Hour at Sonic, a Route 44 Diet Coke with extra ice. The only problem is when I'm not looking my kids take my drink and before you know it it's gone! I think it is funny because the cup is almost as big as Maddie!
Maddie's new favorite thing to do is play in the bathroom sink with her tea kettle's, the only problem is the puddle of water she leaves behind...oh well it is only water, right?!

There were quite a few more pictures that I didn't think would be appropriate for the general public...like Dad's underwear drawer, and the toilet bowl (thankfully it was clean!) I'm really in for it with this one (Taylor), in more ways then one!
P.S. In regards to my last post, sadly the Packers lost. Oh well, there is always next year right? Listen to me I'm talking about football, Dale should be proud!

True Packer Fans.

A few shots of our Green Bay Packer Fans. Our children have no choice in the matter but to LOVE the Packers, since their father is from Wisconsin you are pretty much required to be a die hard Packer fan. The playoffs game is on as we speak so I thought I would get a few shots of them rooting for our team. Hopefully they will win, then they will be playing in the Super Bowl next week. Don't you love the pink hat?

When I was a little girl my grandma made pretty ruffly panties for all of her granddaughters, so my Mom has done the same thing for her grandgirls. Maddie is posing in her "pretty panties" which she refuses to where the right way ( the ruffles go in the back) But who really wants to argue with a 2 year old Miss Priss?!!
This is my latest endeavour. Several months ago my Mom made my pillow shams and pillows, so I have been wanting to finish this duvet cover for my bedroom. So finally with a little inspiration from the Pottery Barn catalog, I came up with this design and finished it yesterday. Thanks to my Mom, who has instilled in me the skill of sewing. However, I will never be as good as her, that is why she did the pillows, so they would be perfect! Thanks Mom!

Haircut's & Games

Sunday morning was very quiet and we couldn't find Taylor, after looking around the house this is where we found him...Maddies crib, playing his Stars Wars lego game on his DS, which has been a life saver for me, shopping at the grocery store is so much better when he follows me around playing his game.
Maddie decided the other day she wanted a haircut like Dad and Taylor. She got up on the stool and said "haircut Mommy" So I ended up giving her a cute little bob. I was afraid Dale would be upset I cut it so short, but he loved it.

It's Time...

To potty train...I don't know why I am putting it off so bad, maybe because I feel like my baby will no longer be a baby if I'm not changing her diapers. The last few days Maddie has been going into the bathroom, by herself and climbing up on the potty, I guess I'm just in denial or it's just laziness because I know it will be tuff the next few days. So wish me luck, here I go...
